Sarah + Evan | Downtown Warehouse Wedding Inspiration

At the beginning of this year I set some goals for myself, as most people do around that time. I had categories like personal, spiritual, financial , and physical of course, but the ones I was most eager to get after were my creative and business goals. One of my major goals was to put on my biggest styled shoot yet, and submit it to be featured. I am so proud to say that less than one month later I had already realized that goal!

When I began planning this shoot, I wanted something different. I had never shot in an industrial modern venue before, which is surprising since that is my personal favorite style! I reached out to some of Birmingham’s most talented creatives and together we designed the most amazing blend of modern elegance I could have dreamed of! It was a joy to work with each of them, and I could not recommend them enough!

And one short month after our shoot, we were honored to be featured on The Perfect Palette! You can view their full post here: Industrial Meets Modern Styled in this Birmingham Shoot

Today I am so excited to share my personal favorite photos from the shoot with you all! I hope they inspire you to get out there and create something!

Rebecca

In her grandparents' old house, wearing her grandmother's dress, Rebecca looked like a vintage beauty for her styled shoot in June. My friend and fellow photographer, Tiffany, and I had such a great time working together to capture the hauntingly beautiful house and barn, and of course our subject and friend, Rebecca. Thank you girls for the adventure! Here are some of my favorites from the shoot.

Mitch + Ren | The Barn at Shady Lane

It was the coldest day of the season so far, but the sun poured golden light all around The Barn at Shady Lane, making everything look warm and creamy. The barn smelled of fresh flowers and peppermint icing. This was a shoot I had been looking forward to for months.

Every detail fell into place perfectly, from the beautiful florals by Stems and Styles, to the delicious wedding cake by Angie's Cakes. Somer Howe did Ren's hair and makeup, while I snuck away with her wedding dress, altered beautifully by her grandmother, for some detail portraits.

After that, the newlyweds and I headed out to begin shooting. We enjoyed cake, hot apple cider, and a walk in the sun. I couldn't have chosen a better couple to work with, their chemistry was just the easiest thing in the world to capture! Not to mention their willingness to endure the cold for the sake of our photos! ;)

I am so thankful to everyone who helped make this day possible. I couldn't have done it without you!
